Today's @COVID19Tracking data on these 5 states, at the top of the worry-watch list
Hospitalization increases in Texas and Arizona are especially concerningpic.twitter.com/s5OWvK3YpA
California and North Carolina case rises appear to be testing artifacts (deaths are not tracking infections). Others, such as Arizona, appear real (deaths are).
In NC hospitalizations have started to increase so I’m hoping it is testing and the downward trend of deaths will continue but I’m also worried deaths will follow the hospitalization trend on a lag
Thanks for the awesome updates Eric. Very informative and helpful for my line of work.
Yes and yes
Not looking good. The three top states have huge populations, but that's not the case for the Carolinas, Ariz., and Ark.
It's also telling that even our least affected states are showing rebound in new cases finding. Expanding outbreaks across the country, all contributing to now rising total daily new confirmed cases. This is the opposite of controlled epidemic.pic.twitter.com/8nHdj6Kk4a
Average of fatalities is what really determines what’s going on. Tests are likely not that reliable on their own.
