how many statisticians are now working across CTs, "big data" and obs'l studies? just me or statos are now expected to master & stay up-to-date across these disparate fields? they dont even all use the same software
Me too, although I enjoy the diversity of the work. I don't try to stay current across all areas, I only look in depth at something when I need to. But I do feel like I'm always playing catch-up.
This is an important time for #bigdata and technology in healthcare as we, as an industry, continue to work toward the promise.

Some useful thinking here on what are the most important axis when thinking about constructing large health studies from multiple cohorts. IMHO more weight could be given to understood but possibly not well described attributes such as population and comparable measures
