"Reactionary," like "extreme" and now "alt" (which is suddenly a bad thing) is a word whose value is dependent on you not having any idea what it means. It may as well be an arrow with an angry face on it so you can point it at people who pissed you off today.
Reactionary has a specific technical meaning. Think of the exact opposite of Sam Harris and Steven Pinker.
Of course it has a meaning. I'm saying that using it to scare and silence people, which is Lewis's goal, requires using it in such a way that it includes everyone she disagrees with.
