When you say "elitist", what do you mean? Since "elite" generally means the best, at least in regards to a certain quality or qualities. (Unless you really are referring to folks who are most skilled in smelling farts...)
Elitist in the colloquial sense, but emphasizing the trappings of ego-driven exaggeration--which is basically the essence of the term "fart sniffin". Two people sitting around mentally co-masterbaiting.

The point is that Alex Jones does exactly what Eric purports to be looking for--provides sense making aparatti for understanding the world. Even Quillette, which is to be enjoyed whilst wearing a $400 v-neck and skinny jeans, doesnt provide a cohesive narrative and rejects info.
