I believe what these photos show is that corporate news tries overly hard to make news highly dramatic and to provide unwanted narratives to support their biases and business models. But don’t fall for this being about hurricane Florence @RubinReport.

Anderson Cooper was not misleading or lying, he was providing a more visually dramatic appearance, you see. Should puffery really be a defense for a news organization?
I don’t see a problem with this at all. I am in NC, the hurricane damage and flooding is real, him standing in the deep-end isn’t purely a facade that should be shamed, he is merely highlighting how deep the flooding has occurred
