We test The Portal for the first time in Episode 19. In some sense, the Podcast just started. I believe this may be the first time my brother and I have appeared together in public without others. Hope you find it interesting.

  4. The map is not the territory & the marketing is not the product. Keep that in mind. It is a desperate measure for a desperate situation which hasn’t fully happened yet. There are still jobs, but there are few careers. We have to do something when labor markets fail families. 🙏

  5. My other big question is how many folks would vote for Yang except for UBI being portrayed as “magic money”. This is in large part an issue of optics: you either love the idea of free money as dividend or it looks to you like an evil gimmick from satan. UBI, however, is neither.

  6. My sense is that there has been *much* more energy behind than has been reflected in official narratives. Hence This is what I thought about Bernie & Trump in 2016. I only wish the first primary were a simple secret ballot to test that theory.

You’ll rarely find something this comprehensive, yet this engaging, on geometry and physics, and the beautiful interplay that unfolds between the two. Sir Roger Penrose with , this is one gigantic Portal episode to indulge in.

  9. Particularly hard on me was her description of not wanting to put an innocent child through humiliation & ostracism for having a former CSW as a mom. I thought about Richard Pryor’s genius when she said that. Or having a father in our Supermax prison.

  10. It was emotionally tough, so your kind words go a long way. The evidence that new weaponizations of both shame & sexuality are deforming us via technology is now everywhere to be seen. I really appreciated Ashley’s willingness to engage with us all at this very different level.🙏

  11. That is beautiful as sentiment. Also not just wrong, but wrong raised to a very high power.

  12. Bari Weiss gives great insight into the durable meaning of the campaign well beyond UBI. Consider it in light of the NYT double endorsement. The internet is getting stronger, the institutions weaker. Something will give. Just when that will happen is still unclear...

Thank you so much Eric! My dad struggled in school. He has troubles with spelling and sometimes reading. Now that’s he’s an adult we’re thinking it could be dyslexia. Nobody in his life ever bothered to find out. Not his parents or educators. As long as it may take him my dad

  15. The Portal is proud to bring you the woman behind Riley Reid, the world’s most unexpected top erotic actress. She appears here as herself, the kind & insightful Ashley. Hope you enjoy it. Ashley, thanks for taking the risk with us to appear as yourself!🙏

  19. Kate’s iceberg is itself the tip of a still bigger iceberg and one we cannot face. Too big to contemplate. When it comes to US research universities, it’s “icebergs all the way down.” We are waiting for the research university to objectively research itself. What could go wrong?

  20. This story will continue to be told...only generally not on game days. Yet every once in a while the two narratives, instutional and personal, collide ever so briefly. That is when the DISC slips. It may not have been paradise, but they did indeed put up a parking lot... End.

  21. This resulted in twin narratives: A) The instutional “Go Dodger Blue!” narrative about a team and a stadium. B) The “Chavez Ravine” narrative about the awesome power of the state to destroy any illusion of property rights and abuse of extraordinary powers against the powerless.
