When 'compassionate' conservatives, or Christian conservatives or whatever argue against social programs, I always think of this "And the King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’"

Yep, I used to think of myself as a compassionate conservative Christian Republican... then I saw what the party was REALLY doing, and then decided that if you were compassionate and christian... you couldn't be Republican.
