It legit astounds me how many of these folks call themselves LGBTQ allies--some of them, more or less, owing their careers to queer culture--and they still have not a goddamn clue on anti-LGBTQ discrimination. Not a goddamn clue. Completely clueless, maybe willfully.
Unless its overt like trump bs bans discrimination may be hard to spot in regards to LGBTQ or other groups unless you are part of that specific group. There are so many nuances with discrimination that it may be hard to know them all unless it overt or highlighted

Easy to ignore ≠ hard to spot. Some discrimination can be subtle, but most of it is blatant, esp. when you look at all the targeted violence.
