So long as you list the person bringing it in it's ok but to a random box that doesn't have the protection of a heavy duty offical box. I wouldn't trust it and can only lead to trouble

TY. I’m still waiting for my ballot. Was mailed on 9/28. Mom got hers on Saturday, she lives in same subdivision. Mine is stuck somewhere. To follow, you have to declare who has permission to turn it in for you, if not using usps or an ”official” drop location?

Yes on the back of the ballot you can designate who can drop it off for you if you follow the instructions on the back in CA
