Can Nunes even make a claim that Phil is a paid protester? It’s just a blatant lie that is be replayed constantly on his commercial. Not sure how that’s legal.
On all the things to try and make him look bad that's the only thing that would resonate with some of the people in the district. Previous races, name change and other things could be a focus point but devin lives in conspiracy land so it makes sense.
