We are in a big subdivision. I'm putting individual bags of candy out 6 feet from the door for them.

This will be the first year I don't go to a haunted house since '83.

That makes me sad.

Our neighborhood has been named "Best Trick or Treat" neighborhood in San Diego for a few years now. We get thousands of kids, impossible to be 6ft apart. I told the kids we can do a Halloween "egg" hunt in the backyard this year.

I can’t imagine anyone who would. Common sense needs to kick in at some point.

Nope not going. We're having a two person scary movie-a-thon. It's horrible though that people in my small Trump suburb of Fair Oaks CA plan on trick or treating. They've announced it on our neighborhood watch sites. I got so much heat over my comment of non participation.

How old are your kids/how’d they take it?

Same. Sad, but can't risk it since we've wasted all the hard work most of us have done over the last 6 months.

Make little stops in each room. An adult can be behind a sheet and they can pretend to knock and different candy can be given at each stop.

If my kids were still little I'd have them get in on the brainstorming and execution of it all too. They could be the ones to "answer the doors" too. Make a whole new game.
