Yes. It's an artificial market unto itself, created and perpetuated by the supply side of the coin. How can we achieve meritocracy and the negotiation power of one, when the construct of companies adheres to a faux system where job valuation is completely supply-side subjective?

Buying products made in 3rd world countries is modern slavery. We support child & adult slavery with our spending power. That makes us guilty. Also, many Asian women who work in nail salons are kept in slave conditions, even in middle America.
