My fifth grader just got this question on zoom: The Rocky mountains are more ____ than the Appalachian mountains. a) Snowy b) Rugged c) Dry d) Fertile Clearly it's not 'c' or 'd'. But can we discuss the first two? How can there be only one answer?

You're right - this is probably what they want! BUT... do people regularly ski in the Appalachians? Surely the Rockies are also more snowy?
