  School administrators looked for any tiny crack they could squeeze through to bring students to campus. This created enough illusion of normalcy to reduce new students from delaying or from choosing a competitor school that was all online.

  2/ It didn't matter that they knew when they announced 'on campus' that it was extremely likely that the format would revert to online very quickly into the new academic year. The charade & high-risk bet of bringing students to campus was & is a just craven quest for revenue.

  I think we will see much more of this. My niece who has been very careful and hasn’t gone ANYWHERE since the beginning is over it. She’s more than willing to send her kids to school bc she sees the effect of staying home. My point is virus fatigue is going to lead to poor choices
