Jeff Bezos has $178.1B It would cost $20B to end homelessness in the US and $25B to end hunger Jeff could end homelessness and hunger in the US by himself and still have $133.1B so why can't the US gov do it????

Right, and those things (mostly stocks) can actually be traded for cash. Alternatively, they can be used to borrow cash. I feel like access to capital isn't much of a concern for Bezos.
