Grief upends me. It deletes my body's capacity for happiness. It reduces me to a shell run by some sort of basic motor. I have been through grief many times, and each time I think 'that must be enough, statistically?". But grief doesn't give a shit about math.
Grief is all around us and a normal thing. The ability to see it and move forward is awesome. Stay strong and keep moving forward

Agreed. I'm not actively grieving now, but I can no longer live as I did before all the sudden deaths - with the complaisance that life will be a walk in the park. Now I look for it everywhere - I don't want to be unprepared. Which is dumb, because how can we be prepared?

No one can be prepared especially in the times we live in now. All we can do is enjoy the time we have with the ones we love and hope for the best.
