I just learned that @tedcruz real name is Rafael Edward Cruz. Is he ashamed of his heritage? I only feel pity for people so ashamed of their heritage they would change their name.
I promise to do all I can to make the US more accepting so you can keep your name Rafael.

Ted is a common nickname for Edward. As in Edward Kennedy = Ted Kennedy. And Jack is a common nickname for John. Makes no sense but that's the way it is.
