Rafael Edward Cruz changed his first name to "Ted" for much the same reason Dan Goeb changed his last name to "Patrick" which was to hide that the former is of Hispanic Cuban-Canadian ancestry & the latter was to hide he left Baltimore with bankruptcies & a failed marriage.
