We locked down an entire FOB in Iraq over a pair of missing NVG's. I mean 100% locked down and checking every place. They never found them until we were handing the camp over to Iraqi's. We lifted a hooch up, and in the pouch we found them.

My ex was a bubblehead who, upon returning from a normal, 3-month patrol, looking fwd to shore-leave, was held on the sub for almost 24-hours while they tracked down 1 missing piece of intel that someone else accidently shredded.
