To some fireworks are fun loud lights in the sky
To others like some #Vets they are sounds that trigger memories of war. Memories of IED explosions maiming and killing their friends. Firefights, being blown up, watching friends being blown up and worse

I’m sitting out on my deck currently, huge fireworks having been going off for hours. Never seen anything like it. My dogs are a mess.... I’m glad you are ok, and I totally get why your brothers and sisters are not doing OK. Take care Eric.

This will sound small and unimportant, but we have our second robins nest this season on our deck, last night we also had a ton of fireworks and it scared Mom robin away for the entire night. My wife hand fed the babies last night... wildlife are impacted too. Sigh.

To be honest, I LOVE how it reminds me of artillery strikes outside of Donestk. Waking up to sounds of gunfire, mortars, and AGR’s. One reason I don’t think it’s healthy to return unless WWIII happens
