To some fireworks are fun loud lights in the sky
To others like some #Vets they are sounds that trigger memories of war. Memories of IED explosions maiming and killing their friends. Firefights, being blown up, watching friends being blown up and worse

My daughter was across the street from the second bomb at the Boston Marathon bombing. She hates fireworks for that very reason.

My neighborhood sounds like a war zone and it's 1am. My animals are terrified even though I have the TV volume at 100 and several fans running. My spouse went to bed early so he wouldn't have to hear it.

I know. I hate the noise and the fire/sparks, etc. Hanging on to a padeye 10' away from a F-14 high powering on a catapult with two 25' flames shooting out... Yes, I hate fireworks.
