When you turned 18 and officially became an "adult" what did you do that day? I was at MCRD San Diego a couple of weeks into boot camp

It was back in the 70's. Yes 18 was the drinking age then, when it changed to 21 I was already older than 21.
I've talked to people who were over 18 but under 21 when it switched...they were not happy at the time.

That would not have made me happy either. I don't remember when they changed the drinking age, but I kinda remember Texas was the last state to do that.
