When you turned 18 and officially became an "adult" what did you do that day? I was at MCRD San Diego a couple of weeks into boot camp

OK, but no one get on me for this. I went to my bar that I've been frequenting and showed them my correct ID, and they told me to get out!

It was back in the 70's. Yes 18 was the drinking age then, when it changed to 21 I was already older than 21.

I've talked to people who were over 18 but under 21 when it switched...they were not happy at the time.
