A white person having children of color does not erase their white privilege and responsibility to hold it accountable. If anything, one should hope that parenting children of color would compel a white person to have greater humility and introspection re: systemic racism.
Out of sight out of mind is how most people in our country avoid having to acknowledge or deal with the countless injustices that happen in our country sadly I don't think it will ever change anytime soon
