Most read at the 4th grade level.
"More than 30 million adults in the U.S. can't read or write above a 3rd grade level" This didn't fit so I had to cut it

I doubt this helps, but the best books are between 5th and 6th grade reading levels. I would be happy just getting to that level. Reading any information critically and then sharing that new knowledge in written form is crucial to our nation to stop manipulation of facts.
