My aunt in Bakersfield called today. Told us everyone is having parties and hanging out at each other’s houses and she is going to a friends house tomorrow who is having a birthday party for her kid. Some restaurants actually opened and have the tables spaced more widely apart...

Bakersfield people also came out here to Pismo last week and found everything shut down. They were filling up the grocery stores that already have half the items, not wearing masks. They were trying to surf at the kelp beds below the Shell Beach cliffs and use the parks.
