I know people who work at hospitals that are having their hours cut because they don't have anything to do because other procedure have been deemed non essential.

Yeah...but it’s fine for “nonessential” workers to go starving and lose their means of survival because the government will give them citations/arrest them if they try to exhibit normal, social behaviors.
