  My mom’s hometown in TX housed a Japanese-American detention camp. The irony is that the same trailers were used for a school for the Latinos in the town after the war. Because they were not allowed to go to school with the white kids.

  Actually, they were. But, you’re correct about decisions based on race and ethnicity. Nuclear bombs would NEVER have been dropped on Germany. Because it was Japan, it was acceptable.
