I've had the misfortune of witnessing two loved ones struggle to breath as they died. They're memories I'm in constant reminder of as Covid-19 makes its way through our communities. Those experiences are why my family is self isolating. Hope others will too.

I watched my Dad gasping to breathe. It's not something anyone should go through. Rise up, people! An ounce of prevention... Self isolate as much as possible! A few weeks out of your life is better than the alternative!

I watched my grandmother die from ARDS. Most horrible death I have ever witnessed. You end up watching your loved one melt from the inside out while their body is swelling and retaining more and more fluid. She was so swollen we couldn't close her eyes when she died.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Watching your loved one suffer is the one of hardest things to get through, especially when there's nothing you can do to alleviate their pain.
