Asking teachers to take on one more thing, then one more thing, then one more thing, it never stops, if this is a plan then there’s needs to be a fed level plan to implement it
Being watchful for and reporting/referring kids who have symptoms, absolutely. Teaching the class hygiene and how to handle a pandemic, sure. Putting the responsibility of temperature taking on teachers for 25+ kids daily, ehhh.
That's different than requisite temperature taking of every kid every day. Her actual response was that's not her job and there are such things as school nurses. (To be fair, she was a little blunt cuz she's in the middle of grading a massive pile of papers, her usual Sunday job)
Modern thermometers can check in 1 sec with no contact. It would not be everyday only in case of outbreaks like we have now. That is 30 secs for 30 students a day.
