I called family on Monday and told them to just stock up on essentials and get meds filled. Texted my kid and said, I'm not crazy, but you know I'm the emergency response girl, so stock up food meds formula & diapers. She said she trusted her Ma & did it.
Get prepared. Stock up on food and such. Avoid large crowds, avoid people sneezing, coughing and blowing their nose. Do not touch your face, wash your hands with soap for 20 secs, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Be proactive not reactive. We are all in this together

That's good advice. It never hurts to be prepared for the worst. Especially when there are young children involved.

Biggest reason for stocking up is supply chain disruptions more than anything. Act like it's a big snowstorm or hurricane coming that may put your power out & stores closed for a few weeks. Preparation is key. Add cash for emergencies and keep your gas full.

Just a reminder....poor people don't have the funds to stock up.

Rice and beans or just rice. Not everyone has the financial security to do so but a little is better than nothing regardless of financial means. I do not know about anyone else but if need be for me I would push a bill to next month or ask for an extension to free up funds.

Also Eric, remind people to stay home if they are sick. I know when I feel ill, I feel kind of woozy, that is my indicator to stay home.

Yes anyone sick should avoid other people and going out as much as possible. Unless they have the symptoms and should contact their local hospital for advice about going or their medical provider. And follow all protocols set in place by local officials.

My daughter is away at college home next week having her get the flu shot at least but worried

I'm worried too all my kids are under 10 and still have trouble not putting their fingers in their mouths. All we can do is prepare and take precautions to avoid infection as much as possible.
