I know this is to bring home the evil of guns but guns aren't the biggest issue, ignorance is the major problem. It's people that don't know how to store their guns and people who think guns are toys... I can go on for days.

Firearms are nothing but tools. The owner of the firearm is at fault for not properly securing their weapon. It was loaded, not locked up and easily accessible to individuals not trained in how to use them. So yes ignorance.

Gun owners need to be held responsible, accountable and liable for the harm done by their guns. People rush to discuss their rights but never their responsibilities. Even if the child knew not to touch the gun, the gun left loaded and unsecured is irresponsible.pic.twitter.com/Hht5bIrSsH

First off why was she going through the family's belongings to find the gun? Secondly why would anyone assume a gun is unloaded and start playing with it? With a child nearby taboot?
