So, non-stats people they can’t generalize from an N of 1, right?

I keep re reading this. So are you asking if people not familiar with stats know not to generalize with 1 participant? Or are you asking for yourself? From my understanding only in case studies is an n of 1 acceptable to generalize. I want to say the magic # in stats is 30.

That said, in sarcastic mode, I was asking if people unfamiliar with stats realize you cannot generalize from an N of 1.

Ohhhhh. No, I doubt they would know what that means. Before my classes I would have not known what that ment anyway.
