I would like to honestly know why those of you that do not eat meat don't? Is it a cultural thing, personal thing or something else. I would truly like to know. If you are going to spread hate one way or another please keep scrolling.

Pensioned now. Hope to spend the rest of my life in a village on Crete (Greece). Here you see a lot of people grow old, very old, in a happy way. Stopped smoking. Easyly only eat meat once a week. Fish the same. Sometimes 10 different vegetables on my plate. One glass alcohol/day

On the 3rd of March I'll be vegan + no alcohol for 40 days until eastern. Same (but shorter periods) before 15th of August and before Christmas. People around me do it because of their faith. I think it's good for my body. After 40 days no 1 glass of wine is enough to get drunk.

Climate, cruelty against animals are arguments for me too. Here, if you want too, you can witness the animal you eat alive, killed, skinned. Quite close to nature. Quite humane. Political argument for where you live: could never forgive myself for eating your opponent's cow.
