I'm not sure. It says they are trying to push for copper but it is more expensive and harder to find.

The lead shot gets into water in marshes and streams as well and people will get lead poisoning too from eating fish or game that may have ingested the lead pellets by mistake. The lead shot needs to be outlawed and replaced with a non toxic alternative. Why not steel?
