If you could fix one issue in your community what would it be? I would make sure everyone in my community had clean drinking water.

Reportedly primarily from farm runoff draining into the lake. They’ve been increasing filtering systems at the water treatment plants, but farm runoff and pollution/causal factors still contribute.

Not much action for prevention that we see, though the blooms have been a (finally much publicized) problem for at least 5+ years. Focus is on water treatment, huge investments/costs. The green algae is mixed thru the water, impossible to remove without dense filters.
