If you could fix one issue in your community what would it be? I would make sure everyone in my community had clean drinking water.

Correct!!! We have a huge problem here with PFAS; one of the first in the nation, if not *the* first to realize the seriousness and extent of toxicity. Most affected folks here had private wells, which you figure are safer...not!!! I'm so glad this is important to you!

Over 1 million don't have clean drinking water in California. Some in #CA22 have not had clean water for over 10 years. We need to fix this ASAP.

That is a travesty. I'm on our rural water board, actually know something about water issues. Every human deserves access to clean potable water. At a price they can afford. Do you partner with Tribes in California to help solve water issues? It's a smart move. We do so here.

Yes it is and it has been going on for far too long. I am not sure if there is a partnership with the tribes, nothing that I have read about anyway. How does the partnership help?

          1. So here in OK there are mainly Tribal jurisdictional areas, not reservations. Federally recognized NA tribes are qualified applicants 4 certain kinds of BOR & EPA grants dealing w/ watershed mgmt, drought contingency planning, etc. Cost shares from Tribes required.

2 If Grant awarded, Tribes build coalition of stakeholders, many non tribal. Stakeholders from ag, public water supply, mining, recreation, energy, etc. address problems, build solutions. Tribes often pay for technical expertise - hydrologist, engineers, water planners, etc.
