We have tried to reach out across the aisle to Republicans since Reagan. The result is, the Republicans have moved the nation further and further to the right. We reach out to them to negotiate, and they refuse to meet us in the middle. They NEVER reach back.

The root of the problem is that part of all of us that we know is wrong. We have learned it is wrong and suppress it but the trump voters relish being able to release it. They enjoy seeing him “stick it” to whoever or whatever it is that makes them feel inferior.
