So let's say you wake up in the morning your phone doesn't work, no internet, no tv, no radio, and no other form of communication works. What do you do?

In New Zealand we have earthquakes in a relatively regular basis. At any time this could be an absolute reality for us. We have water, food and supplies to keep us going for a week. The communications are expected not to be in place for days. We just prepare to wait it out.

10 minutes drive from the capital - Wellington. But in the event of a major earthquake there would be no point going there. The local communities have emergency water stations all over the place, and disaster community meeting points set up by our civil defence programme.
