So let's say you wake up in the morning your phone doesn't work, no internet, no tv, no radio, and no other form of communication works. What do you do?

Also exorbitantly expensive compared to what I pay in an urban area. When you live in a rural area things people living in urban/suburban areas take for granted/necessities are either considered luxuries or out of reach due to cost or both.
Oh wow. You would think with all of our technology it wouldn't be like that. Well people still don't have clean drinking water in certain parts in this country so nothing should surprise me about our infrastructure.

Rural areas need our advocacy. Can you imagine what regular internet access will do for people in small towns/communities? Right now in my mom's area jobs are so short that fast food restaurants won't hire ppl under 18. So many factories have closed and few other options.

When I lived in that area I didn't have regular internet until after I graduated community college in the late 90's. And it was dial up! I don't know that I would have survived/thrived if I hadn't moved to a bigger city. Many people are there w/o access to info or opportunity.
