He will rationalize all his decisions with what sounds good to say at that moment. he's a politically ambitious opportunist, not a guy you expect good governance from at all. If he was he'd of stuck to the races he announced and ran for.

It is a pain to get on the ballot without money. Those 40 signatures are a pain when it's just you and someone else getting them not to mention the money, required documents and financial records. It is designed to keep the average person off the ballot imo.

I agree both parties have set up rules between them to gatekeep and keep challengers out. I think you should be able to announce "I'm running" and run.
