      Definitely not the same. Super appreciative that you have that kind of drive to get the job done. Human sexuality and counseling has got to be a tough one. There's some scary counselors out there

      That's what it looks like from my perspective. It's more or less like any other subject in counseling except the taboo that surrounds it in most of our society. But depending on what I learn it could be a possible specialize I go with.

      Was it a Licenced marriage and family therapist, social worker or someone else? Not all counselors are created equal even.

      I honestly don't know. The state said I had to go see the guy. He said it looks like you need Prozac based on whatever paperwork he was reading. Gave me a prescription and sent me on my way.

      A psychiatrist, they deal in medicine not so much therapy.

          Psychiatrists are trained as medical Drs first then specialize in psychology but the vast majority only write prescriptions. Medication for certain disorders is unavoidable but therapy can be more effective at treating certain things, IMO. Always consult your Dr about meds.
