My daughter was 6 when columbine happened. I was also a teacher in high schools in that area in CO. She told me 2 things: 1 was she would crawl on the ground and hide in a locker. 2nd was she didn’t want me to go to work anymore. She was terrified. Broke my heart.
Now it's more frequent and they have drills for it. I don't know what I would of thought if I had these drills when I was young.

I put my students through the drills before i retired 9 years ago. I hated it.
