In that I mean that the vast majority of the time their untreated mental illness makes them far more a danger to themselves than to anyone else. It drives secrecy, isolation, divorce, substance abuse, alcoholism, and suicide - to the tune of 400 doctors per year.

I've always heard Drs have a high suicide rate but I did not know seeking help was punitive. That just seems counterproductive and wrong.
