Always wanted to ask a Californian about this: What do you think of desalination plants? Do you personally as a resident think they are worth the cost and loss of beach front? (common arguements against) Im not a resident (Ohio)but I think eventually its going to have to happen.

We’ve had a water problem forever. Look up the Owens valley water war. We have been looking at de-sal b/c the next drought is just a matter of time. Only problem is when water is purified there is a bunch of sea salt left & most dump back in sea which localizes higher salinity.
