Always wanted to ask a Californian about this: What do you think of desalination plants? Do you personally as a resident think they are worth the cost and loss of beach front? (common arguements against) Im not a resident (Ohio)but I think eventually its going to have to happen.

I do not know enough to say one way or another. I've heard they are expensive but haven't looked at the actual costs. Beach front property or drinkable water? Easy choice to me.
