Sacramento Bee on Devin Nunes: "Regardless of whether you lean Democratic or Republican, here’s an undeniable fact: Nunes lied to the American people and his own constituents about the Ukraine allegations, dismissing them although he knew they were true"https://www.sacbee.com/opinion/editorials/article239465588.html …

What are aspects of your platform? I’m not in your district so I cannot vote for you, but as a fellow vet (Army Infantry) I’m curious to what you wish to do with your platform.

My immediate concerns are clean water, which some in my district have not had for over 10 years and drought solutions. Ending homelessness, improving wages, health coverage 4 all, and improved education system just to name a few overarching goals.

Very good issues to tackle. Access to clean water is still overlooked and assumed to be universal by some. I’ve been watching the escalating reports of the drought situations out west, and it troubles me. Do you consider bottled water to be a factor in this?

This last decade we had more drought years than not and a 3 year period was the worst in over 1k years. I haven't even thought of water bottles that would be interesting to look into. Cali produces 2/3 fruits and 1/3 of all the country's veggies. We need to act b4 it's too late.

I’ve watched reports of the fires, having increased beyond what is considered sustainable by the environment. Would you recommend a reduction in produce production, since you mention it? Or have you thought up a nuanced plan for this already? I admit, I wouldn’t know what to do.

Fed funded upgrades to irrigation systems to improve water usage efficiency, cross state water systems as a backup during drought and tax incentives to growers who switch a portion of their high water need crops to less demanding crops.

Is California working on desalinization technology?

Not that I am aware. I've always heard it is too expensive and unable to meet the demands for the price. If you have any info on it I would love that.

It's not my area of expertise, but it would be interesting if it could be done.
