I'm one person I can only know and see so much. What problems do you face in your life that a congressional hopeful may one day help with? Unclean water? Wage stagnation? Sexism? Racism? No medical coverage? Poor VA care? Unfair justice system? Anything else?
Yes not only is the health care sub par at best, the benefit side is lengthy and they are always trying to lower ratings and the rating docs cut corners which mess with claims and ruin lives. Accountability is a must to improve the VA.

When I got out my pregnant wife, 2 kids and I were homeless for 2 months. I was medically separated, so essentially kicked to the curb. We luckily stayed with family but all shared 1 room. I would imagine several families struggle just as much transitioning out.

Too many vets commit suicide because of the broken VA and the lack of actual care. You say you are depressed or have other issues and they push drugs as a first response. Medication has it's place in mental health but not so indiscriminately. Well from my perspective anyway.
