No child of any age should have to have a plan as to how to survive an active shooter, let alone a 6 year old. What are we doing to our kids?
My kids have around 1 a month and it has had an effect on them.

My oldest is 10 and he said if the bad men come to our school we have to run so they don't kill us. They must hate kids to want to kill us. It is too much to take sometimes.

Remember (maybe you're too young) nuclear drills for what to do when the Bomb fell? Marked a whole generation. This is gonna be that all over again, except the Bomb never fell and this shit keeps happening on the news.

I remember studying about them. Introducing fear even if it doesn't happen has a profound effect on people. In this case the threat is actually happening. I can only imagine the ones who live through it. And the parents who lose children to it.
