It sucks to see the ones you love suffer. All you can do is offer what help you can but until they want change there is only so much you can do. Best of luck in this situation.

Do not agree. Have been there as well as numerous people I know and have known.
Everyone is different and handle situations differently. Something easy for someone may be impossible for another.
